Imagine a point in space with no dimensions.

Now connect 2 points.

They form a line.
The line has length.
Length is the 1st dimension.
Now connect 2 parallel lines.

They form a square
The square has width.
Width is the 2nd dimension
Now connect 2 parallel squares.

They form a cube.
The cube has height
Height is the 3rd dimension.
Connecting 2 parallel cubes just makes a longer object. Where is the next dimension?
Connect the 2 cubes, but in time.

The 1st cube occupies a single point in time. The 2nd cube occupies another point in time.
Now connect the 2 time points. They form a time line.
The time line has time length (or duration).
Time length is the 4th dimension.
Now it’s back to a line, like before.
Take 2 parallel timelines.

A timeline has time length.
The timeline also has a width of 1.
Someone who exists in 1 timeline has a width of 1.
Someone who exists in both timelines has a width of 2.
Someone with a width of 1 could move left or right in time from one timeline to the other timeline.
If someone has a width of 1, they might live in a timeline for 100 years. Then they might live in another timeline for 100 more years. Then their time length is 200 years, not 100 years. They might not remember the other timeline.
Maybe they move left and right in time (between the parallel timelines) during the same 100 years. Maybe their time width is 2, and they exist in both timelines.
Length is the 1st dimension. Time length is the 4th dimension.
Width is the 2nd dimension. Time width is the 5th dimension.
Then what is the 6th dimension?
Something to ponder.
